The band reunited with Chris Keffer of Magnetic North Studios, Cleveland, OH in April to begin work on a new album. Chris and the band go way back, as he engineered and co-produced the first Jehova Waitresses album, “Hard Up For Innocence” at the first Magnetic North location in his parents’ basement. Chris is big time now, setting up shop in a beautiful state of the art facility. The band began work on four new songs and will be heading into Asbury Park’s Lake House Studios this month to add vocals and overdubs. Songs will be released digitally one or two at a time, culminating in a full release with bonus tracks.
Stay tuned for release dates!
After a successful release (Route 5) and a well received Homecoming Concert at Cleveland’s Brothers Lounge last summer, the band parted ways with bassist/songwriter/vocalist Alan Grandy, who has decided to focus on his own projects. The band wishes him the best with those endeavors! Stepping back into the lineup is Paul Lewis, also of the Thor Platter band. Paul was a part of the JWs lineup in the mid-90s, recording several tracks at Ardent Studios in Memphis, which will be remastered and released soon! He also joined the band onstage at their concert in Cleveland last summer. Paul brings an exuberant style and energy to the band that fits perfectly with the new material Kevin and Linda are writing. Welcome back, Paul!
(okay, so it was 1994…)
